[Mich-listers] Townsend's solitaire, Allegan Co., 3-16-12

Friday morning, I found two Townsend's solitaires in the northern part of Saugatuck Dunes State Park.  They were along the trail labeled the "outer loop" on the park trail map, along the east-west portion of that loop.   It is a walk of five or ten minutes east of trail marker post #7.  The birds were singing, flycatching, and perching in the tops of trees in the open dunes.  Searching for them would involve hiking up steep sandy hills and maybe bushwacking.  Dave Elbrecht
