[Mich-listers] White-fronted Geese, Sanilac Co.

On March 7th, James Fox and I birded the Thumb and found 12 White-fronted Geese at the Tri County Landfill in Sanilac County.  This is on Ruth Road north of M-46 east of Sandusky.  The birds were in the large borrow pit west of the entrance to the landfill.  You need a scope and you have to look through the fence.  You can't drive in.  Also present in and around the borrow pit there were 500 plus Tundra Swans and an good assortment of ducks including Pintail and Canvasbacks.

We did look for the Spotted Towhee at Grindstone City and could not come up with it.
