[Mich-listers] egrets

Last Tuesday, 7/3, I saw 40-50 great egrets in shallow, open water (6-8 acres) as I exited from the long and twisting ramp from I-96 East to M-5 North to West Twelve Mile Road, just north of I-96 in Novi.  The wetland is ~1,000' south of the intersection of the multi-lane ramp with Twelve Mile Road, and east of the ramp.

It appears the water level has dropped considerably so fish and amphibians may be more available.

The exact number of egrets and great blue herons, and the presence of more unusual species was difficult to determine since I was driving.
