Late today, I searched for the W. grebe that was reported in the Grand River at Grand Haven (Ottawa County). I couldn’t find the grebe but there was a red-throated loon in that location. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Lake Michigan as calm as it was late this afternoon. Kind of eerie. Chip Francke
