[Mich-listers] Yellow-billed Loon- Alger CO 1/8

Greetings all,

I just had a phone call from Scott Hickman in Munising where he had just
had a bird that he feels very confidant was a YELLOW-BILLED LOON. He saw
the bird along the east side of Munising Bay from the shoreline by the
hospital (north of the main part of town). It was observed for 10+ minutes
before he lost it and as of this moment he has not refound the bird. He
wants to double-check the literature and study photos more, but his
description to me over the phone was pretty convincing. I'm sure Scott will
have more details later when he returns home, he just wanted to make sure
people are aware of the sighting if they want to try looking for it this
afternoon. Munising Bay is pretty big and divers really can cover some
distance here so perhaps the more eyes looking the better.
