[Mich-listers] Summer Tanagers, Berrien County, 6/24/11

Male and female summer tanagers still present (first reported June  
1st?) at Warren Dunes State Park, Berrien County, at wooded picnic  
area on Friday, 6/24/11.  In picnic area at "T" turn west 1/4 mile to  
where sand dune covers road end.  Male was singing at that location  
quietly from understory trees, north on lower dune slope. Female  
brought food in bill to the top of large oak (south side of tree)  
just north of parking lot.  I could not locate a nest.  Female would  
reappear without food in bill and repeat bringing additional food in  
bill later.
