The Blue Grosbeak continued this morning singing from both sides of the road, both from the taller trees behind the railway cut as well as some of the shorter trees standing up above the sumac.

Hi- 

The male BLUE GROSBEAK was present again this morning, June 17, 2011 at about 6:30 a.m. -- 7:00 a.m. observed by Mike Mahler and myself. Location: Amtrak Railroad crossing at Wells Street, 1/4 mile east of M-51 in Pokagon Twp, Cass County. The bird was singing vigorously along  trees which line the railroad right-of-way.   

At least two observers yesterday were able to photograph the bird. 

I was sent an email that the bird was observed as of about 12:30 p.m. on June 17.
