I spent a couple of days looking at countless fields, beaches and breakwalls, which resulted in lots of good birds;

Lapeer Co - Snowy Owl on the east side of M-24 half a mile south of Castle Rd. Heavily marked young bird.

Fish Point SWA Tuscola Co - Snowy Owl visible from the tower. Cattle Egret in field southeast of Gotham & Ringle

Au Gres Harbor Arenac Co - continuing Snowy Owl on "north" side of breakwall out nearly to the end

Tawas Point SP Iosco Co - TWO Snowy Owls 40 yards apart on the beach. Parked at end of lot and took short trail to the beach. Both birds were visible from the top of the dune trail. Found a LITTLE GULL in a Bonaparte's flock a few miles north of the park where US-23 is close to the lake.

Harrisville Alcona Co - Snowy Owl on the beach half a mile south of the State Park. Purple Sandpiper on the south side of the breakwall in town.

Squaw Bay Alpena Co - Short-eared Owl hunting at dusk

Misery Bay Rd Alpena Co - Snowy Owl on the rocks

Presque Isle lighthouse area Presque Isle Co - Snowy Owl on the beach south of the harbor. Hoary Redpoll with mixed flock of a hundred Siskins and Redpolls

Montmorency Co - Snowy Owl in farm field 1 miles east of Atlanta, north of 32/33

I checked the previously posted locations in Crawford and found neither suitable habitat nor Snowy Owls

finally I swung by Lexington in Sanilac Co on a tip from Karl Overman and saw an heavily marked young Snowy Owl on the wooden posts in the harbor
