This evening I discovered an alternate Eared Grebe on Reed's Lake in East
Grand Rapids, Kent Co., 22 April. The bird is present at the west end of the
lake at John Collins Park, at this position (use Google Maps):

42.951313,-85.611037

Park along Lakeside Dr just south of Rose's Restaurant and walk down to the
water's edge. Eared Grebe is a rare county bird for Kent. Photos are
