The White Wagtail was spotted this morning (10:30) at Point Mouillee. The bird was actively feeding in the large mudflat area in cell 1.

For reference, there is an old construction trailer at coordinates : 42.005501N, 83.186781W. Look West toward two pilings in the mudflat area. It stayed about 10 mins before flying off and was not to be found again. Shortly thereafter I was joined by Tom and Paula Bartlett from OH but together we could not relocate the Wagtail. Traveling the entire length of the Vermit returned the same results.
With luck you may find the bird.

The location is in what is called the banana and is divided into 'cells'. Refer to the map from the attached link below and find cell 1. The middle causeway divides cell 1 from the Vermit Unit (where the bird has recently been seen.) The bird was West of the causeway on the mudflat area (shown on map) closest to Lake Erie.

Note: If you're going today, wear winter coats, slickers, etc. something substantial. The weather is brutal by the Lake today with rain, sleet and 20mph+ winds.

Good luck and good birding!
