As the subject line suggests I had an Ancient Murrelet fly past the point going east just after noon today. There was a Black-legged Kittiwake earlier on in the morning but overall there were very few birds moving today and with the weather forecast I just saw I suspect that will be the case for the near future. Still any day with an inland alcid can't be all bad.
The winter birds are starting to get more noticeable with daily White-winged Crossbills and Pine Grosbeaks along with an increasing number of Bohemian Waxwings and continuing good numbers of redpolls and siskins.
