[Mich-listers] Rufous/Allen's Hummingbird yes, Lake Co. Lesser Black-backed Gull, Manistee

The Rufous?Allen's Hummingbird survived the wretched weather yesterday and is at the feeders today.

Also a winter adult Lesser Black-backed Gull was at Fifth Avenue beach in Manistee this morning to the north of the parking lot.  From US-31 take Monroe St. west through the Harbor Village development to the end at Lake Michigan.

Following are directions for the hummingbird:

from M-55 in Wellston Manistee County take Seaman Rd. south to Dublin (the Dublin Store) take Hoxeyville Rd. east a few miles to Chaulker Rd.  Take Chaulker Rd. south to 12 mile and then 12 mile west about 1/4 mile to James Rd.  The Perry's house is the third one down on the left.  Please call ahead at 231-266-5415.
