Smith's longspurs Sunday

We had close-up looks at both male and female Smith's longspurs on 5/3 along Buffalo Road in Berrien County.  We arrived about 7 am and stayed about one hour.  There was a running water pump between Avery and Beaver Dam.  We were east of the pump where there is corn stubble on both sides of the road.
