[Mich-listers] Fish Crows (at least 3) & Chuck-will's-widow, Berrien Co., 4 June 2009

Folks-
Allen Chartier just called (4 June 2009, 8:30AM) from Berrien Co. where he is hearing at least 3 Fish Crows calling simultaneously, perhaps as many as 6 individuals. High quality recordings have been obtained. The birds are concentrating their time near the bridge crossing on Martin Rd. approx. 250 yds north of the Indiana state line and 250 yds south of the south fence of the dump. The birds are flying up and down the river (which I believe is called Spring Creek), often stopping and spending time about 100 yds NW of the bridge, but also SE of the bridge as well.

He also had the Chuck-Will's-Widow calling along Steinbauer Rd  halfway between Jones Rd and 140, between 5AM and 5:20AM, on the north side of the road at the "retreat".
