[Mich-listers] Fish Crow, Berrien Co.--Yes

The Fish Crow was still hanging around the Forest Lawn Landfill this  
morning (June 2).  Glenn and Maryanne Belyea and I were on the south  
side of the landfill from 9:00 to 11:30 am and saw the bird several  
time between 10:00 and 11:30.  Tom Wheeker, who arrived quite a bit  
later than we did, saw it at least once.  The bird evidently was  
flying back and forth between the landfill and some destination to  
the south.  With one exception, each time we saw it it was calling as  
it flew in from the south to the landfill.  Once it called from a  
tree near the southwest corner of the landfill.  Apparently when it  
flew south it remained silent and undetected among the American Crows  
also in the area.  All the calls uttered by the Fish Crow were single- 
noted.
