Today there were a few interesting birds in the Milan area that I wanted to post about, sorry I couldn't post earlier in the day. This morning at about 10:30 a.m., Matthew Lentz and myself saw an adult Peregrine Falcon sitting on top of a telephone in front of the York Township Hall on Stoney Creek Road west of Milan.

Around 12:30 p.m. we also saw a flock of Pine Siskin's in the pine trees at Harbour Cove condos near Ford Lake off of Textile and Huron River Drive.

Final sighting for the day was a Short-eared Owl spotted along Welch Road near Co. Line Road in Britton at about 9:30 p.m. tonight. It flew up out of the creek on the north side of the road and flew erratically in the ditch until it reached the woods on the south side of the road at 12863 Welch Road.
