Today about two o'clock, a single bird along with several Canadas and a white bird I'm not prepared to call a Snow Goose. They were near the east end of the island on the Detroit side, about halfway between the Nature Zoo bldg and the Detroit Yacht Club, across the road from Lake Muskoday, very close to the road. There is a small parking lot, next to which are a couple of those concrete barricade blocks, and that's where they were. My first White-fronted in many years. The Chartier et al book has the species as accidental in the southern lower peninsula on this date.

Earlier I had been looking at ducks near the other end of the island with Reg Baker and Bruce Bowman. I went back to tell them about the goose but they were no longer there.
