Smith's Longspurs, Berrien County - Yes, 4/28/09

Birders,
Mike Sefton just called to report that as of 4:15, he & Lathe Claflin found 5 Smith's Longspurs at the aforementioned location in Berrien County. One breeding plumaged male had approached to within 20ft of their viewing spot.
Mike asked me to relay that the birds had been  hard to locate, to the point that a group of 6 other birders they ran into had been searching the area for several hours to no avail.
