Smith's Longspur Update - April 28, Berrien County

Hello-

Caleb Putnam just called from Buffalo Road to say that he and Matt Hysell have found "at least twenty SMITH'S LONGSPURS", with males doing flight displays and breaking out into full song. Some LAPLAND LONGSPURS are being seen as well.

The location is Buffalo Road (one lane dirt county road) about 1/2 between Avery Road (west) and Beaver Dam Road (east). 

If you need this species for a life, Michigan, county or year bird, or would like to see them at close range, this is a great opportunity to see the species!
