Birders,

Around noon today (April 27) I stopped at Sterling State Park, Monroe
County, on my way home from Crane Creek (Ohio), and on the lawn in front of
the administration building I found two Cattle Egrets.

I also stopped at Lake Erie Metropark to see if the White-faced Ibis was
still present, but there were so many lawn tractors running around cutting
grass virtually everywhere that neither the bird nor I had any chance of
laying eyes on each other today.

Every day, the hummingbird eats its own weight in food.
You may wonder how it weighs the food.
It doesn't. It just eats another hummingbird.
