Glossy Ibis at Lake Erie Metropark

Today (4/25) at noon I watched a dark Ibis for about 20 minutes until
it flew. The bird lacked a prominent white margin around the face,
had a dark iris, and showed reddish joints on grayish legs leading me
to believe it was a Glossy (as opposed to a White-faced) Ibis. The
bird was located in some standing water at the Cove Point picnic area
in Lake Erie Metropark.
Although the bird eventually flew it is possible it will be back. It
seemed to be enjoying some tasty morsels as I watched, and it was not
deterred by several Canada Geese that tried unsuccessfully to take
over the territory.
