	Birders:

While county listing this past weekend, I found 4 White-winged
Crossbills along Whitmarsh Rd in Otsego Co on Sept 7. This area (it's
east of Vanderbilt in the northern part of the county) has many conifers
with lots of cones. There have been numbers of White-wings in the UP
already this year and it looks like they are going to move south as
well. It could be an interesting winter. I also had two Olive-sided
Flycatchers a mile apart in Otsego Co, southwest of Gaylord. This is my
first September record for this species in the state and is quite late
for being this far north. On Saturday (Sept 6) I had a Red-necked
Phalarope and Baird's Sandpiper at the Elk Rapids sewage lagoons.
