Parasitic Jaegers at Point Edward

Under clear skies with light northerly winds, I tried Point Edward,
Ontario across from Port Huron this morning for an hour and forty
minutes--a long time for me. At 10:05 am I spotted two adult
Parasitic Jaegers low over Lake Huron in Michigan waters. They
quickly gained altitude and then for the next 10 minutes soared
around as they slowly moved south over the lake. Eventually they
soared high over the parking lot at Point Edward and continued inland
over Sarnia. Also present in Michigan and Ontario waters were 4 Long-
tailed Ducks and 2 Bufflehead.

Subsequent to my Point Edward stint, I checked a few places on the
shoreline of the Thumb up to Harbor Beach. On the south side of Port
Sanilac at the end of Goldman Ave., a Cackling Goose was in a large
flock of Canadas. Also in the flock was a presumably feral Ruddy
Shelduck.

Cheers,
