As I entered the Island at 10 A.M.on the right side just after a green
sign advertising the zoo there was a Northern Goshawk perched in a
small tree. I watched it attempt to capture a squirrel or rabbit with
out success. I then had a good look at it sitting on the lawn on the
side of the creek. It went under a small tree and I never relocated it .

I saw the White-eyed Vireo at Noon. The bird was off Nashua creek Trail
along the fence line of the Zoo.I parked at the western end of the
trail across from the athletic field . Walk along the creek to the
first bridge. cross over the creek and follow the trail north just
before the fence of the zoo ends is where I saw the bird.

Other birds of interest:

Blue-headed Vireo.
Northern Parula.
Black-throated Green Warbler.
