This morning I saw one Purple Sandpiper on the First St. Pier about halfway from the bend to the end. I met Tim Granger there who said the female Harlequin Duck was still present yesterday, but we could not locate it today.

First St. Pier is at the end of First St. in Manistee about 1 mile west of US 31.

On Friday Grant Weyburne and I found an adult Lesser-Black blacked Gull at the dump on Napier Rd. in Wasthenaw County near the 6 mile Rd. entrance. The gull was attendending Thankgiving scraps along with about 5,000 Herring and Ring-billed Gulls and an incredible number of Starlings. There was also a very striking melanistic Red-tailed Hawk in the same area.
