Cackling Geese, Franklin's Gull, both Black-backed Gulls - Allegan County

Dear birders,
I finally found a day to cut out after some of these beautiful birds, and
was well-rewarded:

2 *Cackling Geese*, 2 Snow Geese (blue morph) at Steve Minard's spot in the
Todd Farms of Allegan State Game Area (on 118th Ave, east of 62nd)

*1 immature Franklin's Gull* (with brown wings, dark hood, white forehead,
and incomplete but present eye-ring); significantly separated from the
Ring-bills and Herrings, getting mobbed by 12 Bonaparte's at Wade's Bayou at
1pm.

>From 2-4:45, in a lake watch from the South Beach Trail of Saugatuck State
Park, amongst several hundred Ring-bills and Herrings, I had *2 adult
Franklin's Gulls *(very black hoods, clean white hindneck, chin, and
forehea, large white spots on primaries), *2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls*, *1
Greater Black-backed Gull*, 42 Bonaparte's, 25 (3+22) Long-tail Ducks.
