Final Call for MBRC vacancies & note to applicants

Birders-

As first advertised on 8 Oct, the Michigan Bird Records Committee will be filling 2 vacancies in its regular membership later this month.  There are only 2 days remaining to submit letters of interest; I will accept all letters which arrive by Friday, 14 Nov 2008.  If you are interested, please submit by email (to me, larus10 at hotmail.com) a brief letter which includes the following:



1) why you are interested in joining the committee

2) all relevant experiences and qualifications

3) your ability to meet deadlines and to attend 2 meetings annually

Also, I have been made aware of at least 1 applicant who emailed me a letter of interest that never arrived in my inbox.  If you sent in a letter but did not receive an email acknowledgment from me, it means I did not receive your letter and you need to resend it.  Another option if my hotmail account is not working, would be to use my work email: cputnam at audubon.org .  Obviously, replace the " at " with a "@" and remove the spaces.  If you are not sure whether I received your letter, please contact me immediately.
