Franklin's Gull x6, Allegan Co. 11-8-08

Greetings,

During an pre-work lakewatch this morning
(8:30am) at Douglas Public Beach I observed a group of six Franklin's Gull
fly past headed south. Two were first winter birds and the rest were
second winter/adult type. All were extensively hooded.

Keep
your eyes open.  We are experiencing a fairly substantial low preasure
system that has come out of the Great Plains, so there may be other
interesting birds being brought along with it.
