Listers,
On October 22, a juv. snowy owl was seen in Muskegon and reported to the Muskegon Nature Club. It was later learned that a local wildlife rehab person had released a snowy owl a few days prior to that. Several days ago, a snowy owl was reported in Holland. I learned later that this owl had actually become entangled in some fisherman's line and/or nets and was rescued by the fisherman. This makes me (and the observer who didn't know an owl had been released in the area) believe that this bird is likely the rehab bird. The current report in Muskegon County may or may not be this same bird.

Today at about 2:40pm I found a Juv. Snowy Owl on the beach about 1.5 miles south of Pere Marquette Park in Muskegon. It hung around for about 1/2 hour before departing to the south.
