WPBO rarities update 5/26

The Eurasian Tree Sparrow was seen at the feeders again  today. A Lark 
Sparrow was found by David Bell yesterday, but of  4:00 was not relocated today as. 
Also found today were a female  Yellow-headed Blackbird and a Carolina Wren. 
The wren was heard 15-20 times, but never seen. Today was the WPBO  birdathon 
to raise money to support our summer owl banding, and it went very  well. There 
was a huge fall out seen in the lighthouse beams last night.  Additional 
sightings today included; 23 species of warbler, lots of Least and  Yellow-bellied 
Flycatchers, Piping Plover, and Clay-colored Sparrow. I've been  up since 8 
PM yesterday, or I'd give more details of today's sightings. We  banded 7 
Saw-whets and 1 Great Horned before the rain hit last night. A word to  the wise, 
don't let a Great Horned bite you in the ribs, it really hurts.
