Listers -

This evening I had what I believe was a Cassin's Vireo at Woldumar Nature
Center near Lansing. (They have a website.)

DeLorme, Page 38, C3 (southwest side of Lansing). North Lansing Road exit
off of I96, go NE towards Lansing for about a mile (through a light at Creyts
Road). The road splits, 4 lane highway curving to the left, two lane road to
the right. Take the two lane to the right and the signed entrance is on the
right about half a mile.

There is a barn / exhibit / activity building. It looks like a barn. There
is another large building near the parking lot that is not the barn. When
facing the entrance of the barn, there is a largish set of signs to the left. One
of them is a trail guide. West of the barn is a trailhead (TH) leading over
a small bridge to sign 4 on the trail guide. The actual signpost has 4 / 13 /
5 on it. The place is open from "dawn to dusk". It used to be gated, not
sure now.

The bird foraged up in the trees, out in the open, before and near the
signpost. It did not call and it headed east after I watched it from about 6:20 to
6:40. I could not relocate it after if flew. I will be surprised if the bird
is seen again, but I will be out there tomorrow morning and will post quickly
if it's seen.

Take care. - Doug
