Chuck-wills-widow - Berrien Co, 8 May

Hello,

Marvin Budd called this morning to say that a CHUCK-WILLS-WIDOW has returned to the same area in which it has been heard the previous 3 years. Location is intersection of Long Lake Road & Jones Road. In previous years (2005 - 2007), it has also been heard along True Road, about 1/2 miles east of Jones Road 9and 1/2 mile west of M-140). WHIP-POOR-WILLS are traditionally heard at this location as well, although they seem to be on the decline (not yet reported, 2008).

KENTUCKY WARBLERS and HOODED WARBLERS  continue to be reported from the Yellow Birch Trail at Warren Dunes State Park.
