In my search for migrating waterfowl(still too much ice) I refound an Adult
Golden Eagle previously reported by an area birder. The bird was about 3
miles W of US27 in the area of Jerome and Wilson Roads.

Also seen a N. Shrike on west side of Begole Rd, just N of the Wilson Rd
corner.(4 miles W of US27) The bird was on wire and then dropped into a vine
covered juniper type tree next to the telephone pole. I watched for about 5
minutes but it did not reappear.

At the west boat launch was greeted but a song sparrow and flushed a
juvenile Bald Eagle. An Adult Bald Eagle circled overhead and earlier I observed
one tending the nest, but no sign of young.
