Dickcissels - Berrien, Cass Cos, 12 June

Hello,

DICKCISSELS have been present in BERRIEN COUNTY this week, along Mill Road, just north of Elm Valley Road. At least 1 is present this week  among vacant, unmowed lots in a subdivision along Bacon School Rd, 1/2 mile south of Miners Road (1/2 mile north of Marquette Woods Rd). The latter record in Royalton twp.

In CASS COUNTY this morning (12 June), I also located the species in a large field 80-100 acres of hay, at nw corner of Dailey Road and Pokagon Highway in LaGrange Township.

I suspect that the species could be found in other suitable habitat in southwest Michigan.
