Eared Grebe, Crow Island West Unit, Saginaw County

The Eared Grebe, reported yesterday by Joe Soehnel was found again today at approximately 11:30 AM.? It was swimming and feeding out in the middle of the north half of the Baldpate Unit about half-way between the two pumping stations.? I scoped it for about 5 minutes while it was in the company of several Wood Ducks and Am. Coots.? The rain, thunder and lightening then made for somewhat less than ideal viewing conditions.
