I took a quick run up to Port Huron yesterday afternoon and braved blowing
sands and bitter windchills to scope the lake and rivermouth.
Ice is completely gone and waters were rough, but I did manage to scope an
ICELAND GULL among a flock of Redhead out in the lake and a
female SURF SCOTER. Long-tailed Ducks (6) were seen in mouth of the river
along w/ a group of (8) Bufflehead. Across the river along the shore (under

the bridge) a GLAUCOUS GULL was flying among several Herring and Ring-billed
Gulls.
