Mich-Listers:

At 9:30 a.m. Kathy Neff and I saw the previously reported Townsend's
Solitaire in the copse of jack pines on the Connie Lindquist trail north
of the shelter at the Kitchel-Lindquist Preserve north of the Grand
Haven Channel. The bird was perched in the top of a jack pine
approximately 100 yards north of where the trail forks among the trees.
It then flew south over our heads and perched along the south side of
the jack pines north of the shelter where Judy Thomas and Liz Notman
viewed it. Along with Larry Dech we relocated the bird atop another
jackpine about 100 yards southeast of its original perch. At 9:50 the
bird flew southwest toward the small hills in the middle of the preserve.

PS: A Peregrine Falcon also flew over the preserve this morning.
