NO Pacific Loon, January 3rd

Listers,

A few birders searched Portage Lake this morning but were unsuccessful in
relocating the Pacific Loon.  The lake is frozen over with only three small
patches of open water that we could find, none of which contained the loon.
Nearby rivers are still flowing and the bird could have moved to a hidden
area of one of those, so perhaps if it warms up the loon may return to the
lake.

The reported redpolls continued at the location near Manchester.
