Jeremy Overway sends the following update on the previously-posted
Varied Thrush west of Montague.
- Ric Pedler
PS: The homeowner emailed that she is very impressed with the behavior
of birders who have come to see the bird so far. One person who didn't
even see the thrush left her a list in her mailbox of all the species he
had seen while waiting for the thrush!

Hi Ric
For some reason my post will not go through to Mich-listers. So I
was hoping you could do it for me. I went to see the Varied Thrush on
Jan 1 around 2:15 at the house on Lamos and after watching for a while
the home owners came up to me and said that their neighbor through the
woods also has feeders and it was hanging out there all day, and said I
could try over there. So I went over and saw it after about 5 minutes.
While there I talked to those home owners, and they told me anyone is
welcome there as well. To get to their house you would turn left on
Lake Michigan Dr. which is about 100 yards before the orginal house on
Lamos. Go down to the second house on the right which is a blue house.
Feeders are in the back of the house. They said you could park in the
driveway or just past their house is another driveway that leads back to
two more houses and you can see the feeders from your car.
Thanks, Jeremy Overway
