townsends solitaire, ottawa county

The Townsend's Solitaire remains at Kitchel Dunes in Ottawa County.  I observed it Friday morning, February 22, flying and perching in the jack pines just northeast of the shelter.  There also was a long-tailed duck (female) 
in the nearby Grand River channel.
