On Monday, February 11th, (10) Pine Grosbeaks and (245) Waxwings - (90%+ Bohemians) were feeding in crabapple trees at Au Gres United Methodist Church just east of Au Gres, on the south side of US 23. Around 4 PM, I observed and photographed the birds for over an hour . Occasionly the entire mixed flock would fly into tree tops to the south allowing for a relatively accurate count. Within a few minutes they would descend again for more feeding. The crabapple trees still have plenty of fruit and viewing is very easy from the large parking lot.

Thanks to Myles Willard and Doug Jackson for the heads up on the Pine Grosbeaks.
