sand hill crane

In the early afternoon a friend and I first heard, and then we actually saw,
a Sandhill Crane!  I might have thought I was seeing things but it was being
extremely vocal, plus, the person I was with really knows his stuff and
verified it for me. Between sight and sound, it could not be mistaken for
anything else. This took place over the southern end of Wyoming, between 131
AND M6 around 2pm.
