During our Birds of Prey Day at the Outdoor Discovery Center last Saturday several people witenssed a Turkey Vulture soaring over the front entrance.  I questioned a few of the people that saw it and they are certain.  One of the people is our wildlife coordinator who happens to be in charge of caring for our birds of prey including our captive turkey vultures.  Though he is not a birder, he is a falconer who is certain of his identification.  Seems like the earliest that I can remember a turkey vulture being seen.  It was at about 4 pm before the storm hit.  It was not seen again.
