Northern Saw-whet owl not seen since friday, Ottawa Co. 1/3/08

The subject pretty much sums it up.  I did not here until today that the little guy was not seen yesterday or today.  To be quite honest I wouldn't go back to my hangout either if everyone this side of 131 was 5'-6' from my face while I was try to get some sleep.  It would be bad enough that the Blue Jays were dumping snow  my head.  For the record:  The owl was very difficult to see without getting that close.  He was tuck in the pine pretty good.  And I would be just as guilty as anyone else for getting that close.  Additionally for the record: no tree branches were damages by the photographers; so keep posting your owl sightings.
