Today's update. This is a nemesis bird for me now, as two attempts have both
been unsuccessful. ;-(

Subject: [Ontbirds]Ross's Gull at Niagara.............. NO.

Spent the day at Niagara looking in vain for the Ross's Gull. About 50 or so
birders on the Canadian side and an additional 50 or so on the American side
as of about 2 pm were unsuccessful in locating this bird. (Cell phone
contact was made with birders on the American side.). That's not to say it
isn't there. Just that it wasn't there for me. Hopefully it will be re-found

On the positive sides, there was a female Harlequin Duck very close to shore
on the east side of the old Hydro (?) building.above the falls associating
with a half dozen Hooded Mergansers. Also an adult Little Gull and a few
Lesser Black-backed Gulls were in evidence at the lip of the falls.
