White-winged Crossbills, Oscoda County

Listers - another LP White-winged Crossbill report:
 
I saw 8 White-winged Crossbills in a mature stand of spruce on Galbraith Road in Oscoda County yesterday.  The property owner, Marty Galbraith (a knowledgable birder), says White-winged Crossbills have been routinely visiting these trees for about a month now, and there is still an abundance of cones left.  Marty also told me that he has seen as many as 80 crossbills at a time.
 
This location on Galbraith Rd. is 3/4 mile north of the corner of Kittle and Galbraith, and 1/4 south of Kneeland and Galbraith.  The spruce are on both sides of the road by the farm houses.  They are most easily seen from Galbraith Road itself.  This area is about 3-4 miles north of Mio and west of M-33/M-72.
