Greetings,

Sorry for the late update, one thing after another...

The Rufous Hummingbird that was originally posted by Adam Byrne, and that the Gillis family has been caring for, continued at least through this past Monday.  Allen Chartier was successful in his attempt to band the bird that morning.  Nancy was thrilled to be able to hold and release the bird.  As Adam mentioned, the Gillis' welcome people to view the bird in the manner in which was previously posted.  If you go, make sure you keep an eye on the small feeder which is closer to the rear door than the heated feeder; the bird frequents both.  Additionally, it roosts in a green leafed bush at the south edge of the rear yard.  This bush is basically up against the garage of the neighbor to the south.  Also, the bird will perch in the leafless tree/shrub just to the west of the green bush.  It provided excellent views from there the last time I was there.

Regards,
