During an Ottawa County Parks birding trip today (Wednesday), we had 3 purple sandpipers along the pier at Pere Marquette Park. We couldn't find the harlequin duck. On the beach, there were 3 glaucous gulls and 2 great black-backed gulls. At the Muskegon Wastewater, we found more glaucous and great-black-backs as well as one adult lesser black backed gull. A snowy owl was seen three times (might have been the same bird). Once on a power pole near the northeast corner of the east pond, once being mobbed by gulls along the center dike, and once on the rocks on the east side of the east pond. Golden eagle was not seen.
