small all white gull, holland, ottawa co., 8/31/08

Greetings all,
I pass this along to anyone who will be in the area and may be interested.  I have been unable to personally verify any of the claims by the initial reporter nor able to follow up with any sort of attempt due to the late hour.  Proceed at your own risk!
 
The report is admittedly third hand from my mom through my brother.  (I see how I rank!)  I have been unable to get through to her on the cell, phone or email so I cannot follow up with her myself.
 
She was at Kollen Park, Holland, MI today without a cell phone.  She had an individual fly overhead at "close range" that she described as a "pretty" all white gull that was smaller than the Ring-billed Gulls and definately not a tern of anysort.  I don't know if this was an all white body or an all white underside.  I have been unable to find out if the bird landed or kept going nor in what direction.
 
Odds aren't good for anything special but very interesting anyway.  If your in the area (or to the lakeshore counters!), it may be worth a look.  Again, proceed at your own risk.  I will pass by tomorrow and report again should anything turn up.
