I stopped by Arkona Rd just east of Haggerty this afternoon (4:30pm) and
dipped on the Western Sandpiper reported yesterday by Walt. There were
plenty of Solitary Sandpipers, Pectoral Sandpipers, Spotted Sandpipers,
Lesser Yellowlegs, and a single Greater Yellowlegs. Immature Least
Sandpipers and a pair of Semipalmated Sandpipers were present, but no
evidence of dark-legged rufous-shouldered peep. Sorry, Walt! Nice habitat,
though!
